UNIDO Exchange is the Organization’s free business and knowledge portal through which you can initiate international partnership and business cooperation, based on available business opportunities that stem from UNIDO’s worldwide network of Offices and from selected partner institutions.
As the online business and knowledge portal of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), UNIDO Exchange seeks to foster a supportive framework for investment, environment and technology partnerships: through its portal, UNIDO’s worldwide network of institutions, offices and centres interacts with the Organization’s public and private partners in the promotion of business and trade opportunities as well as in the matchmaking of technology offers and requests.
Available at , the portal features a virtual Marketplace and specialized Resource Centres with UNIDO knowledge (grouped by themes, sectors and countries/regions).
Access to information is unrestricted and free of charge; however, posting of information is reserved to UNIDO and counterpart institutions. Other institutions and companies seeking to promote their opportunities should contact the nearest UNIDO office for further assistance.
In addition, UNIDO Exchange also assist the Organization’s technical branches and offices in delivering technical assistance, especially targeted towards improving the information dissemination and networking capabilities of client countries and, by extension, of their national industrial development actors from the public and private sector.
As such, and within the framework of UNIDO Integrated Programmes or through stand-alone projects requested by the Organization’s counterparts, UNIDO Exchange consolidates existing information management mechanisms and develops proprietary networking solutions that allow for the integration and subsequent sharing of information while also enabling the countries’ external promotion.
At the same time, and in a continuous effort to promote industrial knowledge, UNIDO Exchange develops innovative information dissemination tools with the Organization’s substantive branches to allow for the presentation of and subsequent interaction based on the accrued information.
