Workshop-meeting «Waste recycling: state of the industry, international experience and attractive projects and advanced technologies»

In the framework of the UNIDO/Russia project “BAT/BEP Centre for environmentally safe disposal of potentially hazardous consumer products and industrial wastes” on March 22, 2011 in the Analytical Centre under the Government of the Russian Federation was held the workshop-meeting with the heads of the permanent missions of the subjects of the Russian Federation under the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation on the subject: „Waste recycling: state of the industry, international experience and attractive projects and advanced technologies“.

During the workshop-meeting there were discussed the following issues: current state of waste recycling industry in the subjects of the Russian Federation, organization and functioning of the enterprise for waste collection and recycling, proper waste electrical and electronic equipment disposal, as well as the formation of geographic information system for waste monitoring as the factor of development secondary resources industry.

UNIDO National Project Coordinator Vladimir Maryev presented UNIDO/Russia project “BAT/BEP Centre for environmentally safe disposal of potentially hazardous consumer products and industrial wastes” in order to implement such projects in the subjects of the Russian Federation.

The head of the Analytical Centre under the Government of the Russian Federation Alexey Makushkin opened the workshop-meeting. The workshop-meeting was attended by the heads of the permanent missions of the subjects of the Russian Federation under the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation, the Director of the UNIDO Centre for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation Sergey Korotkov, UNIDO experts, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the Moscow Region, the Fund “National Centre for Environmental Management and Cleaner Production for Oil and Gas Industries” and companies-recyclers of waste production and consumption.
