UNIDO CIIC took part in the 15th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Shenzhen, China

On April 15-16, 2017, the 15th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP) took place in Shenzhen, China. The Conference is China’s only international exchange of professionals and expertise and has been successfully held for 14 consecutive years. Since 2015, CIEP specially set “International Technology Transfer and Innovation Collaboration Session”, organized by UNIDO CIIC’s partner organization – the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN).

This year the Session was dedicated to the theme “Talents. Innovations. Future” and has gathered representatives of governmental organizations, research institutions, industrial parks and enterprises from over 20 countries. The UNIDO CIIC in the Russian Federation was also present at the event: UNIDO national expert Maxim Eliseev and national consultant Veronika Tultaeva took part in the session and presented a number of UNIDO’s projects.

In particular, Maxim Eliseev reported on UNIDO’s expertise in the field of energy efficiency and energy management, as well as on the concept of chemical leasing designed for the optimization of chemicals use in industry. Special attention was paid to the cases of practical cooperation with Russian enterprises in the mentioned areas. In addition, in a separate sub-session, Mr Eliseev told about UNIDO’s implementation approach for the projects on development of technology parks and innovative infrastructure.

National consultant Veronika Tultaeva presented the project of establishing an international technology transfer centre for small and medium enterprises under the auspices of UNIDO that shall provide comprehensive assistance to innovative enterprises to commercialize their technologies. A pilot case of cooperation within the project is that initiated with the corporate group „Innovation Systems“, Voronezh, with the goal of commercializing its technology of a high-efficiency double-rotor wind turbine InS-W, which was presented at the conference.

All in all, the Conference has provided its participants an outstanding opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise in industrial development and to establish new lucrative ties. The participation of the representatives of the UNIDO CIIC in the ITTN’s session on technology transfer, in its turn, became the next step to facilitate cooperation between the two organizations.
