VIII Nevsky International Ecological Congress

On 25-26 May 2017 VIII Nevsky International Ecological Congress “Environmental Education – A Clean Country” will take place in St. Petersburg. The Congress will focus on the issues of environmentally responsible and rational behavior, developing “green economy” and sustainable practices of production and consumption.

The UNIDO Centre for International Industrial Cooperation in Russia will participate in the Congress namely at the round table discussion “Improvement of Complex Waste Treatment System: Open Dialogue of Businesses and Government” and present UNIDO-GEF project “Environmentally sound management and final disposal of PCBs at the Russian railroad network and other PCBs owners”.

Among the participants there are representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, the State Duma Committee on environment protection, the members of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the directors and managers of the organizations concerning the environment issues.

Nevsky International Ecological Congress is a unique platform for parliamentary cooperation on issues related to the environmental safety and harmonization of environmental law of the countries, promotion of law on environmental and natural resource management through legal promotion of resource and energy-efficient low-waste technologies, deep processing of raw materials and waste.
