This year’s edition of the event – “BRIDGE for Cities — Belt and Road Initiative: Developing Green Economies for Cities” (BRI event) – will focus on sector-specific urban-industrial development challenges, which will aid in the development of concrete project-based opportunities for business matchmaking, financing and investment.

The event will be comprised of two modules: the High-Level Policy Dialogue, which aims to facilitate constructive dialogue between policymakers and key development stakeholders and, “Urban-Industrial Solutions and Business Opportunities” sessions, providing an open platform for all stakeholders to exchange alternative, affordable and appropriate solutions for inclusive and sustainable urban-industrial development.

The 2nd BRI Event, organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC), is a large-scale annual event, which aims to advance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda.
